Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Agreement to Terms
By using the Estimate Consultants website, client portal, or engaging us for a vehicle appraisal or claim representation service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Our Services
Estimate Consultants provides independent vehicle appraisal reports for the following purposes: Diminished Value claims, Total Loss disputes, Estate & Probate valuations, Bank & Collateral loan appraisals, IRS Vehicle Donation appraisals, and Divorce/Legal Settlement valuations. For Diminished Value claims, we also serve as your authorized technical representative with the applicable insurance carrier on your behalf.
3. Eligibility
Diminished Value appraisals are currently available in all U.S. states except Nebraska and Michigan, and require that the vehicle: be 10 years old or newer with under 100,000 miles, have no prior accident history, not be an exotic, vintage, or collector vehicle, and be the subject of a claim filed against the at-fault (3rd-party) driver's insurance. We reserve the right to decline any appraisal request that does not meet our qualification criteria.
4. Fees & Payment
Current pricing is as follows, and is also displayed on our website at the time of your request:
- Diminished Value Appraisal: $199 due to begin, with the remaining $299 due only after the insurance company delivers a settlement offer ($498 total).
- Total Loss, Estate & Probate, Bank & Collateral, IRS Vehicle Donation, and Divorce/Legal Settlement Appraisals: $299 flat fee.
Invoices are issued and processed through our third-party invoicing provider, Wave. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Money-Back Guarantee below.
5. Money-Back Guarantee (Diminished Value Only)
For Diminished Value appraisals, if the insurance company's resulting settlement offer does not cover our full $498 fee, we guarantee a full refund of our $498 fee. This guarantee applies only to the Diminished Value appraisal service and is subject to the client providing accurate, complete information and cooperating with the appraisal and claim representation process in good faith.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information about your vehicle and claim, including VIN, mileage, photos, and repair/insurance documentation.
- Respond to reasonable requests for additional information or documentation needed to complete your appraisal.
- Review and sign intake and authorization documents where required before we begin representing your claim on your behalf.
7. No Guarantee of Outcome
Except as described in our Money-Back Guarantee above, we do not guarantee any specific appraisal value, settlement amount, or insurance company response. Appraisal values and estimator tool results are professional opinions and estimates based on available market data; actual results may vary based on your vehicle's condition, market conditions, and the insurance carrier's own evaluation.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Estimate Consultants shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, website, or client portal. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for that specific appraisal.
9. Intellectual Property
All appraisal reports, templates, and website content are the property of Estimate Consultants. Your completed appraisal report is provided for your personal use in connection with your claim and may be shared with your insurance carrier, attorney, or other relevant parties as needed for that purpose.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
